Bowling Green, KY - For the first time in his career, Ryan Ehrler was named Mid-South Conference Runner of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.  

The Norton, OH native led the Patriots at the Appalachian Challenge this past weekend with a runner-up finish, clocking a time of 24:22.41. This is the fastest 8K time by a Patriot this season and is the seventh fastest time in program history.   

Ehrler's efforts helped UC finish first out of 20 teams in a highly competitive field that featured 202 runners from multiple nationally ranked NAIA teams in the 8K race. This is the first MSC Runner of the Week honor of his career and the fourth by a Patriot this season. 

UC will return to competition at the Mid-South Conference Championships on Friday, November 7 in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
