Marvin van der Made earned male player of the week honors after tallying seven points in the Patriots 6-1 season-opening win. The senior notched two goals and dished out three assists in the contest being involved in five of those six goals. The senior dished out an assist to Milan Stojanovic in the 12’ minute to give Cumberlands a 1-0 lead.  Van der Made netted back-to-back goals in the second half to extend UC’s lead to 3-0.  The NAIA All-American Honorable Mention also dished out a pair of assists to help the Patriots earn their first season-opening win since 2015.  Van der Made also becomes the first Patriot since Matthew Worley in 2014 to notch seven points in a season-opener.
