Maleah Chumley earned the female athlete of the week honors after winning the Drakes Creek Scramble/ MSC Preview Meet.  The Camden, DE native crossed the line with a time of 18:29.96 in a field of 83 runners, 34 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher in her collegiate debut. She also paces for a three-second personal best in her first collegiate race. Chumley is the first Patriot to win a meet since 2013 and her first-place scoring boosted the Patriots to winning their first meet since 2009, tallying 41 points total as a team on the day.
