McHan was named the female athlete of the week after earning a gold and a silver medal on the first day of competition at the Mid-South Conference Championships.  The senior opened the meet teaming with Cora Stevens, Lauren Sanderson, and Ashley Terry to pull away from the field and win the 4x800 meter relay.  The group clocked a 9:34.35 to win the event by 11 seconds.  McHan followed that up with a strong showing in the 3000 steeplechase.  The Blountsville, AL native clocked an 11:37.37 to place second in the event and earn eight points for the Patriots.  UC is currently tied atop the team leaderboard heading into the final day of the championship.
