Shuma Sasaki earned athlete of the week honors after consecutive four-point performances to help UC go 1-0-1 on the week.  Trailing 2-0 to #5 Lindsey Wilson Sasaki led the Pats comeback as he sent a cross into the box which was headed into the goal by Mario Fernandez.  Sasaki added the equalizer 38 seconds later to even the match at 2-2.  Then in the closing minutes of the game, he sent a cornerkick into the box where Rodrigo Riveros found the back of the net to force the 3-3 draw.  In the MSC quarterfinals, Sasaki connected to with Salvador Martinez twice to give the Patriots a 2-1 advantage.  After the game went into overtime, Taro Fukioka crossed the ball into the box, where Sasaki was there to finish to give UC the 3-2 win.
