University of the Cumberlands Athletics

Liam Savio earned athlete of the week honors after posting a 2-0 record in UC’s win over 12^th-ranked Cumberland. Savio teamed with Gabriele Solda to record a 6-4 win over Dan Slapnik Trost and Adrijan Hrzic at #3 doubles.  It was the Pats lone double win as they fell behind in the match 1-0.  With the match tied at 2-2, Savio faced Julian Parada, who he defeated in straight sets 6-3, 6-4 to capture the point and give Cumberlands the 3-2 advantage.  UC went on to win the match 5-2 to improve to 5-0 in MSC play.
