Carly Oliver earned athlete of the week honors after being the catalyst that led the Patriots to a four-game sweep over Freed-Hardeman. Oliver hit .385 on the week, with six RBI, two extra base hits, and posted a .471 on base percentage. The Georgetown, KY native opened the series with a walk and came around to score to help the Patriots get in front early. She added an RBI double as UC took game one 9-0. Oliver added a pair of hits in the second game scoring twice with an RBI single in the seventh. The third game of the series saw Oliver draw a pair of walks before hitting an RBI single to left putting UC in front 1-0. She followed that up with a two-run homer in the sixth to extend the lead to 5-0. In the series finale, Oliver broke open a scoreless game with an RBI triple in the fifth inning, before scoring on a wild pitch to put UC in front 2-0.Â
