Demarius Smith earned male player of the week honors after hitting a pair of NAIA “A” standards in two meets last week. He began the week by running 6.84 to finish third at the GVSU Holiday Open, which was an “A” cut. Smith followed that up by crossing the line in 21.57 at the Aaron Porter Invite to earn his second national cut of the week. Smith currently holds the second fastest time in the NAIA in both events.
