James H. Taylor, II Stadium

The James H. Taylor, II Stadium features stadium-style seating for 2,400 people as well as a press box, coaches box, and President's box. It overlooks the Patriot football field and track. The facility has public restrooms, as well as locker rooms available for the home team and visitors.

On May 20, 1991, the only child of the University's former President Jim Taylor, was killed in an automobile accident. Due to the generosity and support for the Taylor's during their time of grief; contributions were made to the college in honor of Young Jim. This support made it possible for the construction of the football, track, and soccer complex. The Board of Trustees voted to name the complex the James H. Taylor, II Stadium after President and Mrs. Taylor's son. Young Jim was the first ball boy when football was reinstated in 1985.

In 2017, the stadium underwent a major renovation as the natural grass surface was stripped away and replaced with two-tone outdoor artificial turf including the Patriot logo at the 50 yard line and alternate colored end zones. The east end zone is donned in red with Cumberlands inscribed in navy color. The east end zone is donned in navy with Patriots inscribed in red color.

Directions: From I-75 N take a right off exit 11; from I-75 S turn left. Arrive at the first light and take a left on South 10th Street (Rt. 2386). After passing the Cumberland Inn on the left, take the next right on South 2nd Street. Turn at the Briar Creek Park sign on the right. Parking will be available in the gravel lot on the left, and also in a gravel lot on the right side of the stadium.
