Williamsburg, KY – UC women's wrestling went 3-2 in the Patriot Duals at the University of the Cumberlands. In the first match against Emmanuel College A team the Patriots fell by a score of 16-31. Second match they faced Campbellsville University and lost by a score of 18-27. For the third round they wrestled Emmanuel College JV team and won by 42-6 score. Then defeated Brewton-Parker by a score of 45-5. To finish the at Patriot Duals they faced Life University 24-21. Leading the way for UC
Bridgette Duty went 4-0 tallying, one pin and two tech fall wins.
Cumberlands began the day facing Emmanuel College A team. UC struggled only winning three matches, one by a fall, a tech fall and one by a forfeit, falling by a score of 31-16.

For the second match they faced Campbellsville University looking to get their first win however they fell by a score of 27-18. UC was able to win four match including three straight.

For the third match of the day UC took on Emmanuel College B team defeating them by a score of 42-6. .

Looking for their second win of the day UC defeats Brewton-Parker by a score of 45-5, moving their record to 1-2 at the dual.

For the fifth match of the day the Patriots took on Lindenwood-Belleville and won their second match by a score of 38-8.

For the final match UC defeated Life University in a close match with the score being 24-21. UC earning their win in the final match of the day.

UC returns to mat on Friday, January 4 when they travel to Louisville, KY for the NWCA National Duals.
