Box Score Williamsburg, KY – Going up against the NAIA national runner-up, the UC women's tennis fought hard but fell to second-ranked Lindsey Wilson 8-1 Friday afternoon at the UC Tennis Complex. With the win the Blue Raiders improve to 2-1 on the season and 1-0 in MSC play, while the Patriots move to 2-4 and 0-1 in conference action.
Lindsey swept all three doubles matches, 8-3, 8-0, and 8-2, respectfully to take a 3-0 lead into singles play.

Tomomi Nagao faced 16
th-ranked Jovana Peric. Nagao lead 5-3 in the first set, but Peric recorded the next four points to win the set 7-5 and defeat Nagao in straight sets for the 5-0 advantage.
Jaclyn Jewell dropped her first set at #1 singles, but rallied to win the second set 7-6. 36
th-ranked Minja Gligic won the tiebreaker 6-3, followed by wins at #4 and #5 singles put the Patriots in an 8-0 deficit. Cumberlands continued to battle as
Hannah Wampler notched UC's lone point of the match with a 6-3, 1-0 (retired) win at #6 singles.
The Patriots will return to the court Sunday, March 11, when they travel to Georgia to face Reinahardt. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
