Campbellsville, KY – The Patriots tally two more wins as men's wrestling swept #19 Williams Baptist 33-9 and #17 Campbellsville 30-14 during Friday night's double-dual on the road. Fifth-ranked Cumberlands extend their record to 11-2 overall in dual-meet action and 4-0 in Mid-South Conference competition.

In an MSC bout, UC and Campbellsville met on the mat – a rematch between the two from the NWCA National Duals where Cumberlands won 19-12 – following the Patriots' win over Williams Baptist. Leading off in the 125 lbs. weight class, #3 Hayden Lee met #11 Jordan Martinez once again after taking a 6-2 decision earlier this season. Lee, down 4-3 going into the third period, was able to pin down his opponent on a counter-attack at the 5:28 mark.

The 133 lbs. class offered another top-20 individual rematch; #7 Jacob Seto won over #11 Marvin Galette in a close 3-2 decision. Seto saw a 9-5 decision in his favor over Galette earlier this season. Campbellsville's Jaedin Sklapsky, ranked 12th in the 141 weight class, was able to wrangle in Chase Brown with a 9-2 decision to bring the score margin to 9-3.

Tres Leon, top individual in the 149 weight class, won on Campbellsville forfeit. Bobby Ehman, ranked 12th, tallied the second pin against the Tigers, taking down his opponent in 16 seconds after entering the third period evenly matched, bringing the score to 21-3.

Campbellsville closed the Patriots' lead to 21-14 over the next three matches, tallying a decision and two majors. Eric Deluse, sixth in the 197 weight class, sealed the Tigers' fate with a pin at the 6:34 mark and clinched the Patriots' victory. Rounding out the match, #8 Quandre Chisolm won over Campbellsville's Ashton Mutuwa, ranked 11th in the 285 class, to bring the final score to 30-14.

Cumberlands glided past the Williams Baptist once again earlier in the evening, securing the victory 33-9 after downing the Eagles 41-4 at the NWCA National Duals. Seto started the competition for the Patriots after Lee won by Williams Baptist forfeit. Resulting in a 12-0 lead for the Patriots, Seto pinned his opponent at the 4:24 mark to take a win in the 133 weight class.

After a Patriot loss in the 141 weight class, Leon took only 50 seconds to come out on top with a pin. Ehman began his night taking the 157 lbs. match-up in a 20-4 tech fall over the Eagles' Josh Tyler to bring the Cumberlands lead to 23-3.

The Eagles secured six points through the following two match-ups, but would not be able to close the large Cumberlands gap. Max Emerson took his first win of the night in a major decision over Braden Zini, 12-3. Deluse and Aaron Johnson both won their weight classes, scoring 8-3 in the 197 lbs. and 12-5 in the 285 lbs. respectively.

The Patriots will feature 15 wrestlers at the upcoming Cumberland Open, hosted by the Phoenix in Lebanon, TN, tomorrow beginning at 10 AM eastern. The men's wrestling squad continues MSC action at Reinhardt University with a double-dual against the Eagles and the Southeastern Fire.
