Fort Wayne, IN – A small squad of Patriots made a big impact at the Warrior Invitational, once again led by top-four finishes by Ken Cobb and Matthew Chavers
 
Cobb inched ever so close to a B-standard in the 60 meters, just 0.01 seconds short. After a 6.97-second finish in the prelims, he followed up with 6.94 seconds in the short sprint to place fourth overall with the new career best time.
 
Coming up with a fourth-place finish of his own, Chavers measured 6.85 meters off the board in his first long jump attempt of the day. It matches his mark set at the Turnstone Center back in November as his second-best distance of the season.
 
At pole vault, Tristan Petrey followed his collegiate debut last week with a similar mark again. He cleared 4.3 meters on his third try to keep consistent on the season. He placed top-eight for the second time, finishing in fourth.
 
At the shot put pit, James Crawford and Lucas Lambo noted similar marks at 11.83 and 11.80 meters respectively.
 
The Patriots will return to the Turnstone Center for the Indiana Tech Classic on February 13. Before then, they head back to Indiana Wesleyan for the Midwest Classic next Friday and Saturday.
