Bowling Green, KY – Carson Johnson continued his success on the track this week as he competed in the Strive for Greatness meet at Indiana Tech on Friday. The sophomore's performance earned him his second straight MSC Track Athlete of the Week honors, announced by the conference office on Monday.  
 
Johnson broke UC's all-time 3000m racewalk record last week, but it didn't last long as he finished even faster this week. The sophomore crossed the finish line in 13:18.55 to set a new personal and school best time. The Bowling Green, KY native hit the national A Standard by over a minute with his performance on Friday.
 
This marks Johnson's second MSC weekly award honor in two weeks as well as the Patriots second honoree of the season.
 
The Patriots Track & Field will return to action at the beginning of 2022 for the Kentucky College Invitational in Louisivlle, KY. This meet will be on Saturday, January 22^nd.
