New York, NY – Carson Johnson competed in the USATF 3000m Racewalk championship at the Millrose Games Saturday morning. This race was filled with the best racewalkers in the nation, and Johnson did not back down.
 
The sophomore crossed the finish line in 13:01.55 for a tenth-place finish. Johnson has improved every race this year, this time finishing 14 seconds faster than his last race. He continues to break his own school record and hits his fourth national "A" standard of the year.
 
Olympian Nick Christie placed first in New York on Saturday with an impressive time of11:43.46. Christie represented the United States in Tokyo for the 2020 Olympic Games.
 
Carson Johnson's top-ten performance in this race solidified his rank as one of the top athletes in the world in the racewalk event. He will return to collegiate competition next week as the Patriots track & field team travel to Winston-Salem, NC for the Camel City Invitational.
