Patriots Men's Bowling Sit in 7th Place after Day 1 in Marietta, GA.

Marietta, GA - The Patriots' men's bowling team is back competing this weekend at the Bowlero Southern Collegiate Classic. UC sits in seventh place and is seeking their sixth top-ten finish of the season. 

After hitting 5724 pins, Cumberlands is still in the hunt for the title, only three pins behind sixth place heading into day two.  Bryce Frantz, Robert Borowski, Stephen Simmons, Liam McNamara, Charles Wilken, and Austin Hale took the lanes for the Patriots.

Bryce Frantz is leading the way for UC, as he ended the day in fifth place. After averaging 212.7 per game, the graduate student finished the day 32 pins behind Webber's Nick Larsen. A 244 in game two rose the Louisville native on the leaderboard.

Charles Wilkens is seeking his third top 30 finish of the season as he sits in 35th after the first six games of the weekend. The junior knocked down 223 pins in the fifth game to surge late in the standings. 

UC is competing in a two-day tournament consisting of team games and the tournament features 26 teams, including eight other Mid-South Conference teams. SCAD-Savannah leads the team standings with 5,927 pins, while the MSC is being led by UT-Southern, who ended the day in second place, with 5900. Webber, Northwestern, and McKendree round out the top-five for the opening day of the Bowlero Southern Collegiate Classic with 5830, 5751, and 5730 pins respectively.

The Pats will be back on the lanes Sunday morning for the final day of the Bowlero Southern Collegiate Classic, looking for their first win of the season.  The day will consist of the final four team games.
