Marietta, GA - The Patriots women's bowling team was back in action this weekend at the Bowlero Southern Collegiate Classic and are seeking their sixth top-five finish of the season.  Midway through the tournament UC is sitting in sixth place after closing out the day with 5,340 pins, while Erika Taylor is in the top-five of the individual standings on Saturday. 
 
Cumberlands start the weekend off strong by hitting 5,340 on the day, averaging 890 points per team game.  Kiara Abanto, Paige Frantz, Haleigh Lawwell, Erika Taylor, Allysen Coryell, Kaitlyn Egan, Emma Layman, and Kaylie Sipes took the lanes for the Pats. Overall, UC is just 29 pins down from fifth-place Emmanuel College and 143 hold a pin lead over SCAD-Atlanta , who bowled a 5,197.
 
After six games, Taylor is leading the charge for the Patriots as she sits in fourth place with 1,180 pins. The senior averaged 196.7 over the six games to complete her season best and is on the hunt for her first top-four finish of her career.
 
Coryell rounds out the top 25 on the leaderboard after tallying 1,078 pins on the day. With an average of 179.7 pins per game, that included a 222 in two straight games, the senior finished day one with her third top-25 finish of the season.
 
After averaging 174.7 pins in six games, Paige Frantz ends the day in 29^th place. The freshman clipped 170 pins in four games and closed out the day with 1,0048 total pins.

SCAD-Savannah sit atop the leaderboard with 5,604 for the day. UT-Southern finishes 66 pins behind, with Milligan trailing by 5. Webber and Emmanuel round out the top five with 5,394 and 5,369 pins each.
 
This is a two-day, 19 team tournament with six team games, in addition to baker style games; and UC is one of eight Mid-South Conference teams competing.  UC will return to the lanes on Sunday to finish out the Bowlero Southern Collegiate Classic with baker games.
