Bowling Green, KY- The Patriots cheer team tallied a final score of 85.29 to place fifth at the Mid-South Conference tournament on Saturday.

Cumberlands opened the championship competition by earning a score of 90.20 during the preliminary round. The score was UC's highest score of the season, as well as the highest score of the competition through the opening round. In the finals, Cumberlands tallied a score of 85.29 to finish in fifth.

The Patriots placed nine athletes to the MSC All-Conference teams. Jayla Ledford, Courtney Caudill, Haley Noble, Codie Hoop, and Mackenzie Dedman were named First-Team All-Conference performers, while Gavin Collins, Natalie Rector, Ally Alred, and Alyssa Daniels garnered Second-Team honors. Ledford was also named the Mid-South Conference Freshman of the Year.

Georgetown claimed the MSC title with a final score of 92.09, while UT Southern finished runner-up with a score of 90.76.

UC is set to return the mats on Thursday, February 17 for a virtual competition. The Patriots will perform in the UC Volleyball gym at 7 PM.
