Bowling Green, KY – Carson Johnson was named Mid-South Conference track athlete of the week, conference officials announced Monday. He continued to impress in the racewalk as he competed at home in the Pepsi UC Invite & Distance Carnival.
 
Johnson finished with another "A" standard performance this weekend in the 5k racewalk. He earned a first-place finish with a time of 22:26.68, over three minutes faster than the next best finisher. This was Johnson's second national standard of the outdoor season, as he hit another "A" cut in his first race back in March.
 
Carson earned three MSC weekly honors over the course of the indoor season, and this is his first of the 2022 outdoor season.
 
Johnson and the Patriots will return to the track this weekend as they head down to South Carolina for the Electric City Invite at Anderson University. Races are scheduled to begin Saturday morning at 9:00 AM.
