Gulf Shores, AL – Tristan Petrey rounded out UC's 2022 Track & Field season as he competed in the pole vault event at NAIA Outdoor Nationals on Friday. He posted the top nationals finish of his career in this competition.
 
Petrey started the day clearing the bar at a height of 4.60m. He then moved on to 4.70m which he cleared in his first attempt, earning him 12^th place overall out of the 22 competitors in the pole vault competition. He attempted to clear 4.75m to tie his personal best but came up just short.

The Life Running Eagles represented the MSC well as they were named 2022 Men's National Champions after scoring 52 points on the weekend. Their 4x100m relay squad, who the Patriots beat at the MSC Championships, earned the gold medal on Friday as well. 
 
The Patriots season has concluded as Friday was the final day of the NAIA National Championships. UC had a successful season scoring at indoor and outdoor nationals, breaking multiple school records in the process. They will return the majority of their roster, putting them in a great position for next season.
