The Patriots men's bowling team had one of the best years in program history during the 2021-22 season. They placed in the top-10 at all 11 events they attended, and ended their season with an NAIA Nationals appearance.

THE YEAR IN NUMBERS

UC made history with their highest finish ever at the national tournament. They placed fourth at the NAIA National Championships this year, battling their way to the semifinal match-up where they lost 3-2 to the eventual champions, Indiana Tech. Thomas McNeal led the way for UC at nationals, earning a spot on the All-Tournament team.

Charles Wilken and Austin Montgomery placed seventh at the MSC doubles tournament this season. Their total pinfall of 2068 earned them this top-ten finish in the conference.

UC tallied three All-Conference honors for their performance this season. Bryce Frantz led the way as a First-Team All-Conference honoree, the third conference honors of his career. Robert Borowski and Charles Wilken earned Second-Team All-Conference honors for the first time in their careers as well.

The Pats placed second at the Lincoln Memorial Collegiate Challenge for their highest finish of the year. They tallied a 7635 pin count for second out of the eight teams in attendance.

After being selected as an at-large bid for the national tournament, UC earned the number one seed with their performance at the first day of nationals. Out of the twelve teams in attendance the Patriots had the highest pinfall, earning the one seed and a first-round bye.
