Williamsburg, KY- Patriot men's golf is set to start their 2022-2023 Fall season in just two weeks. As head Coach Aaron Watkins enters his fourth year at the helm of the Cumberlands golf program, the team is aiming to build on its success from the 2021-2022 season.

Last year, UC was able to secure its first Mid-South Conference Tournament Championship under Watkins who was named MSC Coach of the Year. The Pats return a couple of veteran golfers including Gustav Barden, a junior golfer from Karlstad, Värmland who earned MSC First-Team All-Conference honors last season. Barden will be accompanied by Jarryd Elliot who secured Second Team All-Conference and MSC golfer of the week two times during 2021.

Cumberlands is set to open in the season on September 17-18 in Lexington, KY at the Asbury Fall Invitational alongside their female counterpart, the UC women's golf team. Two weeks later on October 8 and 9, the Patriots travel to Vonore, TN to compete at The Links at Kahite Invitational.

The Pats will compete three additional times during the month of October. Their third tournament of the Fall Season is on October 10 and 11. The Pats will compete in Knoxville, TN at the Faulkner Match Play Invitational. This is the only other match where both the men and women will compete alongside one another. Seven days later UC will play in Sheboygan, WI at the Whistling Straits Championships.

The final match of the Fall 2022 season is the Mid-South Conference Championship. Play will be held on October 31 and November 1 in Bowling Green, KY. The Pats are looking to repeat last year's championship run and bring home another MSC title.
