Richmond, KY – The UC men's bowling team started their season off finding themselves in the middle of pack at the Mid-South Conference Baker Bash, sitting in eighth place after day one Saturday afternoon. This is a 40-game baker-style only taking place over two days and features a 17 school field, including all 12 Mid-South Conference teams.

Cumberlands started off slow this morning, as they knocked down 1352 total pins through the first eight games. The Patriots totaled 733 pins over the next four games, placing them seventh just behind Cumberland University. In the final eight games of the day UC hit 1687 pins to finish the day with a total of 3772.

UC averaged 188.6 pins over their 20 games on the day, and are still very much in the hunt for the title, only 24 pins behind seventh place Cumberland and 321 behind front runner UT Southern heading into day two. Bryce Frantz, Robert Borowski, Stephen Simmons, Liam McNamara, Charles Wilken, and Austin Hale were the bowlers representing the Patriots today. 

Cumberlands will be back on the lanes Sunday morning for the final day of the Mid-South Conference Baker Bash, looking for a win in the first tournament of the season.
