Richmond, KY – The Patriots post the highest score for their section to finish second overall at the Mid-South Conference Baker Bash on Sunday. After knocking down 3,779 pins on Saturday, Cumberlands hit 3,737 on Sunday to finish with a total of 7,516 pins.
The Patriots averaged 185.85 pins per game as the Patriots knocked down at least 200 pins in 13 of the 40 baker games of the weekend. UC recorded a team-high 245 in the 12th game, while the team carded a 241 on the second basker game Sunday, which was the 22nd game overall. Representing the Patriots over the weekend were Allysen Coryell, Kiara Abanto, Erika Taylor, Paige Frantz, Haleigh Lawwell, and Kaylie Sipes.
The University of Tennessee Southern finished first with 7,666 pins knocked down on the weekend. Pikeville took home third place just 113 pins behind the Patriots. Campbellsville and Cumberland rounded out the top five with 7,389 and 7,211 pins respectively. This puts UC second in the Mid-South Conference rankings.
The Patriots women's bowling team will be back in two weeks, October 7, in Jackson, MI at the Crossroads League Tournament - a two-day tournament including both men's and women's teams.
