th ranked Patriots notched a hard fought win over conference foe 12
th ranked Campbellsville 27-18. UC notched six wins in tonight's dual.
Ninth ranked
Austin Franco got the night started for the Patriots in the 125 weight-class. In his match, he took on 25
th ranked Izaeah Beavers, and won in a 10-7 decision. Franco opened the match with a two-point near fall after getting a takedown. After a Beavers escape, Franco notched another takedown before the first period ended. Beavers notched another escape in the second period, but Franco still led 6-4 going into the final period. In the final period, Franco got a reversal that led to a two-point near fall, and a Franco victory.
In the 133 bout,
Matteo Vargo notched a 10-1 major decision win that put the Pats up 7-0. Vargo was able to notch an early takedown against Troy Kennedy. Then in the second period, Vargo chose bottom and got an escaped. A few seconds later, Vargo was able to get another takedown before the period ended. In the final period, Vargo notched two more takedowns plus a riding time point for the 10-1 win.

Bryce Nickel stepped in the circle to take on Cole Fort in the 141 match. Nickel's first point came from an escape, following the escape he notched a takedown that led to a two-point near fall that ended the first period. In the second period, Nickel started on the bottom and proceeded to get another escape. After the escape, he got a four point near fall after getting a takedown. In the final period, Nickel got another takedown and four-point near fall, plus a riding time point for the 19-3 tech fall win.

Jace Luchau took down ninth ranked Dayton Marvel in a 7-2 decision. This match opened with a Luchau takedown. Luchau would then get an escape in the second period. In the third period, Luchau got two takedowns that led to the victory. This gave the Patriots a 15-0 lead in the dual.
James Dosado took the 157 matchup by fall in 1:26 over Brady Jarvis. That extended UC's lead to 21-0. Campbellsville was able to take the 165 and 174 matches to cut the Pats lead down to 21-8. Then in the 184 bout, 23

Harold Gilmore secured the Cumberlands win with a fall in 2:32 over Pate Eastin.
The Patriots move to 7-9 on the season and 4-1 in conference duals. The team will rest and recover tonight before traveling down the road from Campbellsville to Lindsey Wilson, for the Blue Raider Open in the morning. The Open is set to start at 10 am eastern time.
