Williamsburg, KY – The Patriots women's swimming & diving team recorded six NAIA national standards and won all 12 events as they defeated Shawnee State 163-39 Friday afternoon at the UC Swimming Pool. 

Cumberlands opened the meet with Sarah Zoellner, Megan Schoenlein, Filippa Malmstrom and Victory Niska teaming up to win the 200-medley relay.  The quartet touched the wall in 1:52.07.

Juliana Lopez Morales and Bella Hoare both notched a pair of wins and a national cut on the day.  Lopez Morales pulled away from the field to clock a 2:00.15 to win the 200 free, clipping a NAIA provisional cut.  The sophomore followed that up by winning the 100 free with a time of 57.05.

Hoare had an impressive Patriot debut taking top honors in both the 200 IM and the 100 fly.  The freshman clocked a 2:13.70 to clip the NAIA provisional cut in the 200 IM before touching the wall in 1:01.22 for the 100 fly.

UC had a pair of divers hit the NAIA "A" standard.  The reigning MSC Diver of the Week Morgan Schraudner improved on her score tallying a 220.15, which is the third best score in program history.  Teammate Alexis Cole carded a 199.10 to hit the national cut.

Freshman Aleksandra Chmielewska went 1:00.70 to hit the provisional cut and win the 100 back, while Ugne Takuseviciute posted a winning time of 5:19.44 in the 500 free. 

Madeline Barbee opened the individual events as she was the top finisher in the 1000 free with a time of 11:42.25. 

Kathryn Harrison and Helena Jarosz collected UC's final two individual wins.  Harrison won the 50 free going 25.78, while Jarosz clocked a 1:09.22 in the 100 breast.

In the final event of the meet, the 200 free relay, Takuseviciute Chmielewska, Niska, and Moa Nyblom teamed up to post a winning time of 1:42.00.

UC returns to the water Saturday, October 18^th, when they travel to Columbia, KY to face Lindsey Wilson.  The meet is set to begin at 11:30 a.m. EST.
