Danville, KY – The Cumberlands women's swimming & diving team tallied a trio of wins and had eight all-conference performances to close out the 2025 Mid-South Conference Championships en route to their 13
th consecutive MSC title Saturday night. The Patriots tallied 933 points, which is the second most in championship history.
UC opened finals with having three of the top four finishers in the 1650 free.
Michelle Weiss collected her second individual conference title of the championship as she clocked a 17:31.37 to earn the win. That time is the third fastest time in the NAIA this season.
Juliana Lopez Morales notched a runner-up finish, clocking a 17:33.91, while
Mara Ellerkamp touched the wall in 18:33.75 to place fourth.
Sarah Zoellner notched her second individual conference title, this time in the 200 fly. The sophomore clocked a season-best time of 2:05.07, which is the third fastest time in the NAIA.
Judit Garreta Yuste went 2:10.79 to earn third team all-conference honors, while
Filippa Malmstrom placed sixth with a time of 2:13.13.
The Patriots had four of the top five finishers in the 200 breaststroke.
Moa Nyblom touched the wall in 2:21.85 to pull away at the end and capture the conference title.
Ashley Schoenlein notched a season-best time of 2:23.43 to finish runner-up. Both of those times rank in the top-10 of the NAIA.
Megan Schoenlein clocked a 2:24.78 to place fourth, while
Kathryn Harrison was fifth with a time of 2:25.13.
Abbey Richardson won the consolation final with a time of 2:28.02.
Cumberlands had a pair in the finals of the 200 back.
Madeline Barbee clocked a 2:09.37 to place third and edge out teammate
Isabella Cooksey, who went 2:09.85 for fourth place.
In the 100 free, Alicija Sedalk touched the wall in 53.43 to place fourth, while
Victoria Niska went 53.93.
Celin Ullern (54.81) and
Ugne Takuseviciute (54.59) also competed in the finals.
In the final event of the meet, the 400 free relay, Zoellner, Takuseviciute, Niska, and Sedlak teamed up for a runner-up finish with a time of 3:31.89.
Cumberlands will now set their sights on the NAIA National Championships March 5-8 in Elk Hart, IN.
