Berea, KY - The University of the Cumberlands women's cross country team turned in a dominant display of pack running on Friday, claiming the team title at the Berea/Centre Jamboree with a score of 32 points. The Patriots placed all five scoring runners inside the top 10 and had 11 runners in the top 40 to secure a convincing win against a strong field.

Leading the charge was newcomer Brynn Poulson, who finished third overall with a time of 18:56.59, just steps off the lead pack. She was followed by Elisa Helferich in fifth place with a time of 19:28.67, while Heather Durrant crossed the line in 19:47.40 to place seventh.  One spot back was Chloe West clocking a 19:57.56 as Anslee Crosby closed out the scoring five with a ninth-place finish (20:06.29).

The Patriots' depth added insurance in the team standings as Tigist Bergman (11th, 20:09.70) and Hope Boa (15th, 20:13.90) provided strong sixth and seventh-runner finishes. Close behind was Megan Kitchens (19th, 20:29.58), while Lucy Sullivan (20th, 20:34.00) and Chloe Taylor (23rd, 20:49.62) also finished inside the top 25.

Rounding out Cumberlands' lineup were Jasmin Ponce (30th, 21:08.27), Clayra Darnell (32nd, 21:18.32), Baylee Black (37th, 21:33.11), and Rylee Schaffner (50th, 22:46.50), giving the Patriots one of the deepest team performances of the day.

Centre finished second with 51 points, followed by Berea (104) and Transylvania (104), with Berea taking the tiebreaker. Georgetown placed fifth with 108 points, while Campbellsville rounded out the team standings with 153.

The Patriots' ability to keep their top pack within 70 seconds of each other proved decisive, as they secured a statement win on opening day and continue to build momentum for the season ahead.

The Patriots will be back in action on Friday, September 12^th at the Southern Showcase hosted by Jacksonville State University in Huntsville, Alabama.
