Columbus, OH – The UC Women's Bowling team opened their 2025-26 season with a strong showing, finishing runner-up at the DO Apparel/Brunswick Collegiate Open on Saturday. The Patriots placed second out of eight teams with a total pinfall of 4,794 pins through three team games and 12 baker games.
Paige Frantz led the way for UC, capturing the individual title with a first-place finish. She totaled 639 pins across three games for a 213.0 average, highlighted by a 248 in game two.
Sienna Stoner also impressed in her Cumberlands debut, placing eighth overall. She tallied 553 pins for a 184.3 average, with her high game of 203 coming in the opener.
Kailee Blain joined them in the top ten, finishing 10th overall. She recorded 517 pins for a 172.3 average, highlighted by a 202 in game one.
Shelbi Webb rounded out the Patriots top performers, placing 12th overall. She posted 510 pins to average 170.0, capped by a 198 in her third game.
Rylee Carter finished 56th overall with 339 pins in two games, while Katie Palmer placed 72nd with 211 pins in a single game.
The University of Northwestern Ohio captured the women's team title with 5,010 pins in traditional play, while Muskingum University finished behind Cumberlands in third with 4,620 pins.
Cumberlands will return to the lanes October 4th-5th when they compete in the Brunswick Midwest Collegiate Championship in Detroit, MI.
