NASHVILLE, TN – UC's men had an incredible final day on the track at the Vanderbilt Invitational, hitting two national cuts and – more top-10 times in the NAIA.
Ishak Mekideche smoked the national A standard in the 3K, clocking an 8:17.82, the second fastest time in the NAIA this season.
Sean Crady followed with an 8:39.43 while Casey Desilvey crossed the finish in 8:51.80.
The 800m run saw a pair of Pats in the top-10 as
Hugo Massa finished fifth against elite competition in 1:52.45 for the third-fastest time in the country this season and another national cut.
Tavon Davis was just behind his teammate, finishing in 1:52.96 for eighth while
Caden Cull came in at 1:54.18 for 17
th.
Jackson Lowe was the final UC finisher, clocking a 1:58.74.
The mile was the final event that featured Patriot runners, as
Ryan Ehrler led the Pats with a 4:20.34 mile finish. Kyle Crady also ran the mile, finishing in 4:24.00.
UC will return next weekend as they are set to go to three different meets.
