Williamsburg, KY – The Cumberlands cheerleading team has been hard at work preparing its routine ahead of the start of the 2026 season, as Head Coach RJ Conroy announced the Patriots' upcoming schedule. UC will compete nine times this season, including six regular-season competitions before turning its attention to the postseason.
Cumberlands opens the year with a pair of competitions at Indiana Wesleyan on February 6–7. The two-day event marks the first test of the season for the Patriots as they face a competitive field early in the schedule.
The following week sees UC travel to Georgetown College on February 14 for two separate competitions against the Tigers, continuing a familiar matchup between the Mid-South Conference foes.
The Patriots remain in conference action on February 21, heading to Lindsey Wilson for another set of competitions as they close out the regular season.
After finishing second at the Mid-South Conference Championships last season, Cumberlands will look to improve on that result when they return to the conference stage on March 14.
The postseason continues with a pair of national championships. The Patriots aim to compete at the NAIA National Championships on March 27–28, before closing the year at NCA College Nationals on April 9–11 in Daytona Beach, Florida.
In addition to the cheer schedule, the Cumberlands dance team will compete once during the 2025-26 season. The Patriots are set to perform at NDA College Nationals, held April 9–11 in Daytona Beach, Florida.
