Columbia, KY – The University of the Cumberlands cheer team continued its strong 2026 campaign Saturday afternoon, capturing two first-place finishes at the Raiders Rumble hosted by Lindsey Wilson University.
Cumberlands opened the competition with a score of 90.800, earning first place ahead of Cumberland (TN), who finished second with an 80.500. Midway (73.750), Lindsey Wilson (70.800), and Brescia (49.600) rounded out the standings
The Patriots returned to the mat in round two and elevated their performance, posting a 93.600 to secure their second victory of the day. Georgetown placed second with an 85.900, followed by Cumberland (TN) at 70.900. Midway (68.850), Lindsey Wilson (60.850), and Brescia (42.000) completed the field
The improvement from round one to round two highlighted UC's consistency and execution as the team builds momentum heading into postseason competition.
"I am proud of how well we were able to perform and how we have grown over the past few weeks," said Head Coach RJ Conroy. "Now we have three weeks to rest and prep for MSC."
Cumberlands returns to the mat on Saturday, Mar. 14, when they compete at the Mid-South Conference Championship.
