BIRMINGHAM, AL – The Pats returned for their second day at UAB where their sprints had another NAIA A standard performance out of Tavon Davis, his second of the weekend.

After winning the 400m yesterday with the number two time in the NAIA, Davis one-upped himself in the 600m, running a 1:18.16 for the win, and the top time in the NAIA this season. His time broke UC's school record, set in 2001 by Anthony Kabara, one of the most decorated athletes in program history.

Davis also ran the opening leg of the 4x400, where UC placed sixth with a 3:19.18. Roy Miller, Noah Kincade, and Luban Haque joined Davis for the solid finish.

Kincade was the lone Patriot in the 400m, running a 50.62 while Lebron Williams was the solo Pat in the 200m, clocking a 22.27.

A trio of Pats entered the blocks for the 60m to round out the weekend led by Jordan Afolayan who crossed the finish line in 6.89 for 10th. Haque ran a 6.99 for 17th followed by Williams who finished in 7.12.

Cumberlands will be back next week for the Music City Challenge in their last meet before the MSC Indoor Championships.
