Men Hit Multiple Standards to Complete the Weekend

CLEVELAND, TN – The Patriots men's track & field team turned in a strong final day across multiple meets, highlighted by multiple event wins, NAIA standards, and depth performances across the board.

Lee Fast Break Athletics Invitational

The Patriots dominated the 800 meters at Lee with 13 entries, led by Tavon Davis who captured the event title in 1:50.62. The mark hit the NAIA B standard and sits just 0.03 seconds shy of the A standard, ranking No. 3 in the NAIA this season. Hugo Massa followed with a personal-best 1:51.66, also hitting the NAIA B standard.
 
Caden Cull ran 1:52.48, while Victor Carpeggiani posted 1:52.73. Max Young added a personal-best 1:52.78, while Kyle Crady ran 1:53.69.
 
Sean Crady recorded a personal-best 1:54.31, followed by Jarod Mahe in 1:54.45 and Maddox Knight at 1:54.77. Reed Richardson posted a personal-best 1:57.24, while Nathan Wagner ran 1:58.06. Ben Beilfub recorded a personal-best 1:59.89, and Jackson Lowe ran a 2:02.11 to round out the deep 800m field for UC.

Asheville Bulldog Invitational

Roy Miller led the Patriots in Asheville with a victory in the 400 meters, clocking 47.88.
 
Zion Pruitt added another win in the 400-meter hurdles, running a personal-best 54.67, while Chase Pearson placed eighth in 59.53.
 
In the 100 meters, Jordan Afolayan led the group with a time of 10.61, followed by Aarontae Wesley at 10.70 and Lebron Williams with a personal-best 10.70. Noah Kincade recorded 10.88, while Seth Massie ran 11.05.
 
In the field events, Zach Lawson cleared 3.40m in the pole vault, while Sincere Irvin recorded a mark of 13.17m in the triple jump.

UC's 4x400 finished the meet with a win in 3:14.27 for a national standard. Miller, Pruitt, Afolayan, and and Kincade teamed up for the national qualifying effort. 

Scots Invitational

In the throws, Byron Collier led the Patriots with a second-place finish in the discus, recording a mark of 40.65 meters.
 
The Pats will now look ahead to Wake Forrest and Georgia Tech next weekend where they will continue to build off this momentum.
