As a sophomore (2017) … MSC Wrestler of the Week (January 30) … MSC Tournament Title (3rd) … Went 19-4 with nine falls, three top three finishes (first, second, and third), and ranked four times in the NAIA Coaches’ Poll … Placed second with a 3-1 record and a fall (1:17) at the Dan Gable Open on November 12 … Recorded two fall wins (2:30 and 50 seconds) against Southeastern and Life at the Patriot Duals on December 3 … Ranked ninth at 149 pounds in the December 7 NAIA Coaches’ Poll … Won by decision over an 11th-ranked opponent of Williams Baptist and recorded another decision win in a dual against Drury on December 10 … Ranked eighth at 149 pounds in the December 28 NAIA Coaches’ Poll … Ranked ninth at 149 pounds in the January 18 NAIA Coaches’ Poll … Defeated both opponents by fall (1:37 and 2:54) in duals against St. Andrews and WVU Tech on January 24 … Placed first with a 4-0 record and three falls (36 seconds, 3:59, and 6:47) at the Cumberland Open on January 28 … Recorded a tech fall win in a dual against Cumberland (Tenn.) on February 8 … Ranked 14th at 149 pounds in the February 8 NAIA Coaches’ Poll … Placed third at the MSC Championship with a 4-1 record and a fall (1:08) with wins over two ranked opponents (13th and 16th) on February 18 … Went 1-2 at the NAIA Championship with a major decision win over a seventh-ranked opponent on March 3-4.
