Opened his collegiate career with an eighth-place finish at the Berea/Centre Jamboree, running 16:13.04 in the 5K. Continued his season with appearances at the Southern Showcase (213th, 26:07.12) and the Louisville Classic (148th, 25:37.5). Recorded a season-best 24:55.93 to place 20th at the Appalachian Challenge. Closed the year by earning Second-Team All-Conference honors with a 13th-place finish at the Mid-South Conference Championships, clocking 27:02.33.
