Sydney enters her first season as the Assistant Swimming Coach at Cumberlands after being hired in August 2023. Laughlin comes to UC after graduating from Ashland University.
"This is a great opportunity to learn a lot and gain hands on experience under Coach Skelly," said Laughlin. "I'm excited to learn more about coaching and leadership in a great atmosphere."
Sydney spent two years competing for the Eagles, where she focused primarily on the 200 IM, 400 IM, and both breast stroke events. Laughlin graduated from Ashland with a Bachelor's in Sports Communication with a minor in coaching.
Prior to Ashland, Sydney spent two years competing at Grove City College.
Laughlin is pursuing her Master's in Coaching and Leadership at UC.
