Randy Greer

Randy Greer is entering his fifth season as Head Coach of the UC Men’s and Women’s Track & Field and Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams. During his tenure at UC, Greer has had success on both the conference and national levels. Greer had one of his most successful seasons in 2019 in which he led the the Men’s Track & Field team to win both the indoor and outdoor MSC Conference Championship. He was on his way to do the same in 2020, having dominated the indoor championship, before the season was cut short.

Greer has claimed three-straight MSC Coach of the Year awards on the men's side during the indoor season from 2018 to 2020. Added to the collection was the women's MSC Indoor Coach of the Year award for 2020 after leading the program to the first conference indoor championship in program history. Greer has also claimed two consecutive Coach of the Year awards for his outdoor season successes in 2018 and 2019. He claimed his first Coach of the Year honor for cross country in 2020 with the Patriots first women's team title in 10 years. 

Through his tenure, he has coached 2 NAIA National Champions, 35 NAIA All-Americans, 80 NAIA National Qualifiers, 199 All-Conference performers and many Academic All-Conference honorees. He has also guided three MSC Freshman of the Year winners and two MSC Athletes of the Year. Greer's best finish at the NAIA Championships in his career was 4th at the 2019 NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships
 
Prior to coaching at UC, Greer coached at Division II Anderson University in South Carolina from 2006-2015. Greer coached two NCAA All-Americans, 12 NCAA National Qualifiers, seven individual Cross Country Champions, 94 All-Conference selections, while being named Conference Coach of the Year four times. His team set 106 Anderson University program records.
 
Prior to Anderson, Coach Greer served as a graduate assistant at Cumberlands. During his time as a GA, the Men’s Cross Country team finished eighth in the NAIA National meet, with several runners earning individual titles and claiming All-American status.
 
Greer, a native of Eubank, KY, earned a B.S. degree in Physical Education from University of the Cumberlands in 2001. Greer resides in Williamsburg, KY with his wife Brandi and daughter Bella.
