Sara Rogers is entering her second year at UC as a Diving Coach after being hired in July 2022.
In her first season, Rogers worked with the Patriots divers, including Emma Lehmkuhl, who won a NAIA national championship on three-meter. Lehmkuhl finished runner-up on one-meter and was named the 2023 NAIA Women's Diver of the Year, becoming the first Patriots women's diver to earn the honor. Rogers also coached UC's divers to three podium finishes at the 2023 Mid-South Conference Championships.
Her efforts during the 2022-2023 season helped Rogers be named the 2023 CSCAA Women's Diving Coach of the Year.
Rogers is a native of Jefferson, Georgia, and graduated from the University of New Mexico.
Coach Rogers coached club diving for four years at Greater Atlanta Christian School, West Florida Lightening Aquatics, and Lobo Dive Club.
Prior to coaching, Rogers dove 1 meter, 3 meter, and tower at Georgia Southern University for two years, where she still holds a school record for 1 meter diving. Rogers then transferred to UNM to finish out her diving career.
