Ismileyna Valles is entering her second year as the Graduate Assistant Coach for the UC women's wrestling team for 2020-21. In her first year as a coach for UC, she helped guide eight NWCA All-Americans and two MSC All-Conference honorees.
Along with her coaching duties her first year, Valles finished up her final year of eligibility earning NWCA Honorable All-American status and compiled a 13-13 record in the 155 weight class.
Before her dual role as a wrestler and coach, Valles was awarded MSC 1st Team All-Conference and Academic All-Conference with a 16-9 record in 2017-2018. She placed first at the MSC Championship with a 2-0 record in the same season. As a sophomore, Valles had a 25-20 record.
