Coach Kathryn Park (Hart) is entering her 14th season as the head coach of the Patriots Volleyball program. In her time as Coach, she has led Cumberlands to a 283-140 record, including a 107-85 mark in the Mid-South Conference. Park is the program's all-time winningest coach after earning her 105
th win on 9/1/2018. UC has posted five straight 20+ win seasons and back-to-back 30+ win seasons, including qualifying for the NAIA National Tournament in each of the past three years. In 2025, Park led the Patriots to the NAIA Final Site and and picked up a win, both were program firsts. UC finished the season with a remarkable 36-1 record and a perfect 12-0 mark in the conference, leading to the first MSC Regular Season title in program history.
Park's success at Cumberlands has led to numerous player and team recognitions both on and off the court. 27 players have earned first team all-conference honors, while 24 have garnered second team all-conference accolades. In 2016, Jennifer Philpot became just the third player in program history to earn NAIA All-American Honorable Mention honors. In 2018, Tara Routliffe was named the MSC Libero of the Year. Juliet Banks was named the MSC Libero/ Defender of the Year three straight years (2022, 2023, & 2024). Additionally, Allyson Grava (2023) and Sara Zampedri (2024) were named the MSC Players of the Year in back-to-back season. Grava became UC's first two-time NAIA All-American (2022 & 2023), while Zampredri earned NAIA Third Team All-American honors in 2024 and became the first Patriot to garner NAIA First Team All-American honors in 2025. UC also earned seven MSC All-Conference selections in 2025, the most in a single season in program history. The Patriots success has extended to the classroom where UC has had 171 MSC Academic All-Conference selections and 69 NAIA Academic All-Americans. Cumberlands has earned AVCA Team Academic Award in each of Park's first 12 seasons and earned NAIA Scholar Team Honors nine times. Additionally, four players have earned CoSIDA Academic All-America honors under Coach Park.
Park has coached four straight Mid-South Conference Champion of Character winners and assisted in the Patriots being named the 2017 NAIA Buffalo Team Champion of Character.
Park hails from Huntsville, TX and earned a B.S. from Belhaven University (BU) in 2008 in Sports Administration. Park then moved to Springfield College where she earned a Master’s in Education in Sports Management. Park continued her education earning her Doctorate in Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands.
While attending Belhaven University, Coach Hart was a four year member of the volleyball team where she was a middle hitter for the Blazers. Park garnered numerous awards while at BU, being named a team captain from 2005-2007, Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) All-Conference selection from 2005-2007, and also being selected All-Region in 2007.
Prior to joining Cumberlands Park was an assistant coach at Springfield College in Springfield, MA. While there Park helped guide the Pride to two very successful seasons that included a conference championship and a berth in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Park's first head coaching job came in 2010 at Eastern Nazarene College (ENC) where she was also the Senior Women’s Administrator. She showed her ability to turn teams around after a 3-28 record her first season she nearly tripled it in her second season going 11-17, and then lead ENC to its second best record in the last decade at 13-16. Park also coached two All-Conference players in her three seasons.
Park currently resides in Williamsburg, KY with her husband Jung.
