Elliott earned the male athlete of the week honors after earning Medalist honors and helping the Patriots win the 2022 Mid-South Conference Tournament. Elliott opened the tournament carding a 72 (E) in the first round with four birdies and 11 pars on the round. The Witbank, South Africa native surged during the second round as he eagled his opening hole, the second hole of the course, and sank two more birdies on the front nine to be two-under at the turn. Elliott birdied four of the first five holes of the back nine and closed out the round with a birdie on 18 to shoot a six-under-par, 66, to take a four stroke lead into the final day. The sophomore closed out the tournament with another 72 (E) in the final found as he carded a pair of birdies and 14 pars over the final 18 holes. Elliott captured the Medalist honors by three strokes becoming the first UC player since Ben Kendrick in 2018, while the Patriots won their first MSC title since 2016.
