Makenzie Keatts earned player of the week honors after a dominating performance at the World Series. Keatts batted .700 going 7-10 with four homers, six RBI, and a 1.900 slugging percentage.  The junior etched her named into the record books going 3-3 with three homers, a walk, and four RBI in UC’s 9-6 win over Marian.  The Smyrna, TN native became the first player in the NAIA World Series history to hit three homers in a game and with her solo shot  against Southern Oregon became the NAIA leader for homers in a World Series.  Keatts opened the tournament going 2-3 with the game-winning RBI.  The junior finished the week with a single and a walk against Oregon Tech and added seven putouts en route to being named to the NAIA All-Tournament Team.
