Stephen Appiah earned athlete of the week honors after tallying nine points, including consecutive braces to help the Patriots earn a pair of wins on the week.  Appiah opened the week with two goals, including the game-winner in UC’s 3-1 win over West Virginia Tech.  With the game tied in the second half, the Patriots caused a turnover in the Golden Bears' defensive end and Tommaso Ogliari had the ball on the left flank and crossed it to the far post where Appiah redirected the ball with his head for the goal.  The sophomore added an insurance goal in the 74^th minute for the 3-1 win.  Against 13^th-ranked Rio Grande, Appiah netted two goals and added an assist in the 4-1 final.  The Louisville, KY native netted the equalizer before connecting with Antonis Seraphides for the eventual game-winning goal.  Appiah capped off his week with a goal in the 70’ to help UC earn their first win over a top-15 opponent since the 2020 season.
