Brianna Laux earned athlete of the week honors after capturing three gold medals during the MSC 3D Conference Championships and a runner-up finish at regionals. Laux opened the weekend carding a 400 with seven bonus rings to earn second place at the USA 3D Regionals.  That score was the second highest score in program history.  Laux followed that by defeating four competitors to earn gold in the individual women’s recurve division at the conference championship.  The Lowell, MI native tallied a 12 in the fourth round, which provided to be the difference as she won the event by two points.  In the mixed recurve team division, Laux pair with Clay Weaver to go 2-0 to finish a top the podium.  The tandem posted a 118-112 win over UPike in the gold medal match.  Laux was part of UC’s top-seed women’s recurve team that knocked off the Bears 171-164 in the gold medal match.  Laux was essential to Cumberlands record-setting conference tournament performance.
