Lucas Augotr earned athlete of the week honors after going 4-0 and recording the clinching point in two key matchups on the week.  The Buenos Aires, Argentina native opened the week by tallying the clinching point in UC’s 4-3 win over #15 Lindsey Wilson.  After dropping the first set, Augotr rallied to win the second set 6-1.  In the third set the two players traded points until the match was tied at 4-4 when Augotr scored the next two points to win the match giving UC’s its first home win over the Blue Raiders in nearly two decades.  The freshman followed it up with straight sets wins over Shawnee State and Georgetown.  He closed out the week with a win over Pikeville. With UC leading 3-2, Augotr defeated Mirko Dedich 6-2, 6-2 to clinch the Patriots first MSC regular season title since 2003.
