University of the Cumberlands Athletics

Javiero Izquierdo Cuervo earned athlete of the week honors after making six saves and posting a clean sheet on the opening weekend.  He opened the week with a pair of saves in Cumberlands season-opener against Grace.  Izquierdo Cuervo followed that up with four saves, including three in the second half as the Patriots posted the 1-0 win over 11^th-ranked Bethel.  It marked the first clean sheet of the season for Izquierdo Cuervo.
