Tres Leon earned male player of the week honors after going 4-0 with three wins over ranked opponents. He started the week by pinning Erik Cooley of Williams Baptist. In the quarterfinals, Leon notched a 10-1 major decision over 12^th-ranked Jake Sklapasky as part of 19-12 win. Leon knocked off third-ranked Josh Wenger of Grand View in a 10-7 decision, before posting a 9-4 decision over tenth-ranked Robert Humprey of Indiana Tech to help Cumberlands finish third at the National Duals.
