Midway, KY – The UC Women's tennis team earned their first road win of the season as the defeated Midway 9-0 Monday afternoon at Thomas R. Post Tennis Court. With the win the Patriots improve to 5-7, while the Eagles move to 9-6.

Tomomi Nagao got the match started with an 8-3 win over Gabby Meis and Erin Byassee at #1 doubles.

Haley Mahan followed with 8-3 wins at #2 and #3 doubles, respectfully.
In her first singles match of the season, Mahan got things started with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Jilian Verbrugghe at #6 singles to extend the lead to 4-0. Wampler clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-4 win at #5 singles.
Luka Lyttle (6-0, 6-2), Denne Lyttle (6-0, 6-0), Jewell (6-1, 6-0) and Nagao (6-2, 6-1) each notched a straight set win for the 9-0 final.
The Patriots will return to the court Wednesday, April 4, as they travel to Barbourville, KY as they face the 21
st-ranked Union. The match is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
