Williamsburg, KY – The second-ranked UC women's lacrosse team netted the first eight goals of the game en route to a 20-7 win over fourth-seed and tenth-ranked Reinhardt Friday afternoon at James H. Taylor, II Stadium. The win marks the Patriots first AAC tournament victory and advances UC to the AAC title game tomorrow afternoon.

Jaclyn Berry netted three of UC's next four goals and assisted the fourth to extend the lead to 5-0 with 21:50 remaining in the first half.
Samantha Tullar notched back-to-back goals to give the Patriots a 7-0 advantage. Minutes later,
Tristyn Hudson scooped a ground ball, off a Berry shot, and connected with the back of the cage for a man-down goal to give Cumberlands an 8-0 lead with 6:53 remaining. Reinhardt scored three of the next four goals, before Hudson found
Katie Brewer for a man-up goal with 2:10 left to make it 10-3. The two teams traded goals before the half to give the Patriots an 11-4 lead at the break.
Tullar scooped the opening draw control of the second half and on the ensuing possession she converted a free position attempt to extend Cumberlands lead to eight. Three minutes later, Berry put a well-placed shot past the goalie to make it 13-5 with 26:51 left in the second half. The Eagles battled back recording three of the next four goals to cut the lead to 14-7 midway through the half. That was the closest Reinhardt got as Heim found
Angelica Makoski for a goal with 13:55 remaining to make it 15-7. Tullar and Heim combined for the final five goals of the game for the 20-7 final.
Leading the way for the Patriots was Tullar, who recorded seven goals, an assist, and six draw controls. Her goal at the 3:40 mark in the second half marked her 100
th goal of the season, making her the first NAIA player to reach that milestone.
Berry added five goals, while Heim chipped in two goals, two assists, and five draw controls.
Emily Crump made 12 saves, including seven in the first half, to earn the win. Phillips finished with two points and a team-high three caused turnovers.
The Patriots will return to the field Saturday, April 21, when they face the third-seed and eighth-ranked Georgetown, who knocked off second-ranked Tennessee Wesleyan 12-11, for the AAC tournament crown. The game is set to begin at 1 p.m. with live video available
